Things to Know Before Your First Appointment

Things to Know Before Your First Appointment

Finding the perfect dress for your wedding is a fun, blissful memory that you’ll have for the rest of your life. We prepare ahead of time for your appointment, working behind the scenes to ensure everything goes smoothly, but there’s a few things you can know ahead of time to make the most of your shopping experience!

Shop Early

It may sound ridiculous, but you’ll need anywhere from ten months to a year for bridal shopping. This is because of how long it takes for your designer to sew your dress—your gown is made to order, and from sourcing materials all the way to placing embellishments takes several months. There’s no such thing as shopping to early!

Show Us Your Inspiration

Before your appointment, look around online and in magazines at dresses you like. When you come to the store, bring us photos of dresses you’ve liked so we’re able to get a better sense of your unique style. This will help you find dresses you like earlier in the appointment!

Underwear

When trying dresses on, you want to try and look as close as possible to what you’ll look like on your wedding day. We recommend coming to your appointment in either a strapless bra and white or nude underwear, so that you’re not distracted from the look and feel of the dress!

Guests

One of the best things you can do is bring a few of your closest friends and family whose opinions you trust. You’ll love having someone else there to help you find the perfect dress and celebrate when you do! That being said, we also recommend you be choosy in which guests you bring so that you’re not overwhelmed by too many opinions.
