The story of Gowns of Grace began in 1968 when founder Nancy, just a little girl, made a wish upon a star for 100 dresses. As she grew, she nurtured her love for sewing and design, developing a keen eye for detail and presentation. She started by creating clothes for paper dolls, then progressed to crafting outfits for Barbie, and eventually designed her own clothing. In college, Nancy studied Fashion Merchandising, worked in bridal salons, and began making formal dresses for friends and family. In 1983, she even designed her best friend's wedding dress.

Fast forward to 2009: Nancy, working for Ernst & Young, was doing sewing alterations on the side for bridal salons. When the recession hit, she, along with many others, was laid off. Turning to her sewing skills full-time, she opened "A Bridal Blossom" on Lovers Lane in Dallas, TX, focusing on in-house alterations and bridal accessories. Over time, as her reputation for delivering the perfect fit grew, she expanded her offerings to include off-the-rack bridal gowns.

In 2013, Nancy attended her first bridal market and began forging connections with designers to offer custom-made gowns. This led to a name change to "Gowns of Grace," and the business quickly gained recognition as brides sought out the boutique for its exquisite selection and personalized service. That same year, Nancy's daughter Natalie, who had grown up in bridal salons and sewing studios, joined the team, making it a natural choice for her to help run the shop.

Today, the Gowns of Grace team is filled with gratitude for the hundreds of brides who have trusted us to be part of their most cherished memories.
